How Temperature Calibration Works
Temperature calibration involves using a stable, adjustable temperature source within the range of the device under test. Common sources include stirred liquid baths, dry block calibrators, fluidised baths, or spherical furnaces. Once stability is achieved, the temperature is measured using highly accurate tools such as Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRTs). This measurement is compared to the device under test, with all components of uncertainty accounted for to ensure precise calibration.
